What is AsterDTM ?
AsterDTM is a new ENVI add-on module for extracting digital elevation data from ASTER 1A and/or 1B images, developed by SulSoft, the exclusive ENVI distributor in Brazil. With AsterDTM you can generate DTMs from Aster images, even without control points (relative DTM) with a precision better than 30 m in X,Y and 15 m RMS in Z (elevation).
The ASTER sensor produces images in 14 + 1 bands with a spatial resolution between 15 m and 90 m. Aster´s greatest benefit is that it also generates a stereo pair for each scene. AsterDTM not only extracts the DTM, but also produces radiometrically and geometrically corrected 1A->1B images from the VNIR instrument, and orthocorrects the VNIR bands.
