     Description:

     AsterDTM_demo is a demonstration version of the AsterDTM module, which has the same look-and -feel and almost the same functionallity as the full version of AsterDTM. See below some of the exciting new festures introduced with version 2.2:

  • New option for full unconstraint processing of four preselected subsets - extract the DEM's, orthorectify, and create stunning 3D visualizations !
  • New option for creating anaglyph views from 1B images.

  • New extensive documentation specifically for the demo version of AsterDTM.

  • Internal processing updated to most recent enhancements for AsterDTM 2.2 .

  • Installs and runs under ENVI 4.3 and 4.4 .

  • Compressed, lightweight installation file (only 128 kB )

There are now two options to process your Aster images:

  • Demo mode #1: Unconstrained processing of predefined subsets.
  • Demo mode #2: Constrained processing of arbitrary subsets, with the word "DEMO" overlayed on the final DEM.

The following limitations apply:

  • For ASTER 1A images, the 1A->1B corrected image is not made available.

  • Batch job capability is not avaliable.


     System Requirements :

  • Software ENVI or ENVI+IDL.
  • Pentium IV or equivalent, 512mb RAM.
  • You will need a permanent ENVI license or a trial license in order to be able to install and run AsterDTM_demo.

    1 - Download the AsterDTM demo version, saving the install_asterdtm_demo.sav file anywhere on your computer, *except* in the ENVI \save_add directory

    2 - Install the AsterDTM demo version by executing it from within Windows Explorer (Windows) or from within a terminal window (Unix). The graphical installation procedure will let you define interactively a new menu entry in your ENVI main menu, and install the binary asterdtm_dem.sav file in the save_add directory defined in your envi.cfg configuration file.

    3 - Restart ENVI, and run AsterDTM_demo from your new menu entry.
